Image for the poem An Unrequited Clamor

An Unrequited Clamor

O' purest ignorant heart
without malice nor contempt
A wry smile through the ether
of where the sky ends
Through my own sands
of pettiness,
regrets slip;
Words get stripped away
as each grain imbeds to stay
I call out your name
as my weariness clamors
against my glass heart;
forged by unrequited amber
One wish with hopeful ardency
that memories of me
weave their way
into your very fabric

stitching your soul whole

Author's Note
I continue be hopeful, despite my ability to ALWAYS find "The One" who's inevitably not interested.....
That's usually the one my heart claims mostly.
