the vastness

 
I call to the inky blackness of space
through time and wormholes, I send tendrils
infinite time watches
recording the happenings
space is alive with feeling

endless eyes to see is the vastness
the stars look on in innocence
in violence galaxies collide
a consummation of sorts
new stars are born from them

time wrinkles and expands
walking through history
we are able to gain knowledge
entering into a sacred oath with the cosmos
to intervene on the behalf of the species

such a delicate balance
a ballet in the heavens
we are responsible for our actions
tiny ripples make large distortions
be careful what you wish for the universe is listening
