a shadowy dark
semblance, a fallen
dusk’s uninvited
accompanist...
-overrides
those blinding synthetic
ultraviolet spectacle
-elongates
in a menacing acuity
yet intertwining
with its objective origin’s
free endless hands...
the extreme
‘8” connectivity
-our
cyclical looping
infinity

~liberation
the koel…
no more
sings in its aching
melancholic grace...
..given to arduous
lovelorn rattles
pitch~ black leachates
of its darkening hues…
corrode inner in a
choking necrosis
famishing eyes
of one devotion…
in no tears, anymore
a fasting desiccation

I adored your reading, Uma! It adds an entirely different dimention to your poetry! I'm going to be listening to this one again and again. You should really do more readings! I love the Indian accent. It's so ancient, and yet still exists.

I love how you put this to such a groovy background track! lol The first section brings to mind this overarching presence. Like a great hand of shadow and light that draws you into it's warm embrace and, through it, you find your connection to everything. The second stanza seems like the other end of the spectrum to me. The bird falls silent as darkness encroaches. It seems like a very yin yang journey of the soul. Always a fulfilling experience to read you Uma and feel soul resonance.
