Divine Vacillation
Is malice
now de rigueur?
trying to Be
midst flying fur
kind demeanor
enticed
to be meaner
future daunting
outlook bleak
fewer the havens
for the solace I seek
main relationship
sketchy
less loving
more kvetchy
physical state’s
decline more
apparent
constantly worry
am I a good
parent
will I be poor
when I retire
leaving nothing
but dust
the day I expire
faith, hope depleted
in the very time
when most needed
ever anxious
ever depressed
more anger prone
than the nice guy
once shone
STOP!!
too valuable
mental energy
you’ve wasted
time to turn back
drink milk of kindness
savor honey untasted
record the beauty
that remains
in abundance
lift spirits
cheer hearts
shore up my defenses
with loving bonhomie
return to nice-guy mission
building toll-free bridges
not exclusionary fences
I feel quite euphoric
once again
to be me

I love this! So many pieces on the plate at any given time, need to watch where the energy is spent. Make sure it counts. Investing in positivity is a beautiful aspiration. Bridges, not fences...lovely
