Star-Crossed

A collaboration by faithmairee (Faith Elizabeth Brigham) and zenithquazar77 (Marcus Cooke)

Here's where the story starts
with arms across
love and loss
A place where
time and lovers lost
two star crossed lovers
counting the cost
Hand in hand
through resurrection
oposed to their
Masters objection.

There was an evil empire
ruled by unseemly men
Their evil knew no boundaries
It sprang up everywhere
Two star-crossed lovers
once were imprisoned there
held in a lion's den

Though they were released
they couldn't shake
the fear that
the seedy emporer's curse
was holding tight and
he would once again
their freedom take.

They cast their light
high in the sky
His love to give
no matter where
they chose to roam
their lunar light
willl lead them home.

Inside the moon night weeps
to see they died
by their own hands
the news spread fast
throughout the land
both died with poems
in one hand
he wrote
I miss your love
I name you Shimmer
I look to the moon
It's crest, it's glimmer.

He still can hear
her voice softly say
Though I am alone
and you're not here
I communicate through
tides of white
I can see your lovely light
I hear your whispers
in the night
and your presence
stays forever near.

Here's where the story ends
for two star-crossed lovers
in the night
the full moon
casts her lustrous light
and weeps for their solemn plight.
