Down the Rabbit Hole

there's a big bad world out there
yet there you sat in the devil's chair
so many voices never heard
so many lessons never learned
that's when I said, go
told you to find "the one"
kiss and tell if you must
but I wouldn't be here when you come
I've heard you come quite often
didn't blow my mind at anytime
that's why I had to say a hardy goodbye

somehow we ended up both confused
maybe I'm the villain in this story
guess if the shoe fits the foot
but I say it's how we played the game
like amateurs in the pros
told me my love was too insane
but whoever said it was love anyway?

when I crawled out I heard you scream
"never ever again!"

don't even know if that makes me "good" or not
though I do wonder what you must think
