Truths Of Life

Chestnuts aren't roasting on the fire
not in September, anyway
and all good guys don't wear white hats
do they
Just because the wolf is at your door
it doesn't mean that you should
open it wide and let it come inside
These are just truths of life

And Just because someone tells you
that they love.you
It's fair to say that lovers don't always stay
so if you ever wonder why when we age our hair turns to white or maybe gray
It really doesn't matter

It's just a truth of life anyway
