eleven years since
you've left.
some would say
I should hate
you,
but I don't.
the sky could
never hate
the earth.
love does not
abandon the
field of
memory,
as the dead
cannot escape
their eternal
sleep.

Sometimes you can feel the(m) breathing even when the(ir) body is no longer present. And it all makes sense somewhere via a deeper connection, even when we can't yet fathom it all.

Dear BK,
I related this to a past relationship that didn’t work out and by rights should have had no further communication and vile feelings. It didn’t. There is a love there that won’t fade, or stop. It’s weird and I can’t explain it so I don’t. It does make me chuckle when asked why I continue to carry on so...what can you do? The heart does what the heart wants. There was a certain resignation within this write that drew me in and I found extremely relatable. Lovely.
