Punchlines

... ...

Myself and I are natural enemies...
Ruthlessly prowling life
Myself and I never clash
We always speak the truth
We are the exception rather than the rule

A symbiotic relationship...
Inherited from long-forgotten lies
Whose fabrications?
Whose cover-ups?
Whose falsehood?

Myself and I write verses...
And no weight is added to them
Myself and I write punchlines
Myself whispers: *You're becoming a headache*
And I say:  *Coming from you, it's a big compliment*
