Dweller by The Ash Tree

Open the window blinds, and let the light peak in from time to time
The so curious eye that owns the sky will shine too bright to even be seen
Will I let your radiant rays come to invade and reign over my own personal space?
If that’s the case, will I then feel your peace? Will I then be truly free?

I am just a dweller by the Ash tree
With limbs so high the curious eye of the sky cannot see
A sacred bridge between mortality and the world of deities
I want your warmth, I want your life, I want your love, and I want your peace,
I want the soft, silky grass underneath to embrace my feet,
I want the husks of the rotting leaves and the slumbering trees to be vibrant when they awaken from their eternal sleep
I want your crisp, nostalgic air to surround me and hold me close
Pull out my soul from my throat and nose,
Nest in this very chest I’ve repressed for far too long, and take control of my word flow

I sleep with heavy eyes of the dead looming just over my head
Who were once bone and flesh, but are now ash who rest
Will you dwell with me waiting to see?
We will all ascend the Ash tree.
