" ................... in the last 50yrs,  back before the '60s' it certainly was true.    
Back before then, cops could kick the shit out of any one any time. If the dirty ass criminals complained to "higher ups", they were ignored & liable to get a worse, or fatal, ass kicking for their efforts at finding justice..  
        My father was a guard at Rikers Island in NYC the 1950s. Being the racist he was, Dad had numerous "humorous" stories about stuff they used to do to "stupid  
n----rs"  with the administrators always complicit in "blind eye" & cover-ups.  
       Now there's some accountability, especially with everyone having a movie camera in their pockets.  
       It's certainly a matter of "too little - too late", but I thinks 2020 is going to mark a significant turning point in policing. But it is possible I'm wrong and it can get worse. After all, this IS amerika....the world capital of Blind Idiot Egocentrism.  
       One of the most amazing thing I ever have seen was them letting white-boy murderer walk away with gun intact, even when the guy was trying to give himself up! He'd just KILLED two people! He was some 100 miles down the road when they arrested him.  Holy fckn shit.  Just walked away from a double homicide, amidst at least 100 cops. Now that's even more insane than Mr. Floyd's death.  If a black guy with "something" in his hand went waltzing thru the crowd, there would be a hail of bullets directed his way.
        Yeah. We got a long way to go. Unfortunately, I'm afraid more black folks are gonna die at the hands of whiteboy cops, before this racism thing is solved. If ever.    
         If that sick bastard should get re-elected, (& it IS possible he can steal another election).  it'll give whiteboy cops, and, more frighteningly, whiteboy "militias" tacit "permission" to attempt to incite their fucking Race War for another 4 yrs. And it could happen. "
