Art not Niveau

He was an artist, a painter
Who dreamed of a Renaissance
Of Grace and Splendor,
Of Beauty and Faïence.
But in this day and age
No time to lose and spare,
One had to be sage,
The decor made fair
And in due course
Pack your bag
(Though the work
 In polish might lag)
Get on your horse
And get out of there.
