sides that divide
political influence
hearts forever ride
this brutal experience
i need the love
despite what is human
wanting what’s above
killing swamp scum
no matter color
we share skin
why is hope killed
for some desperation
government skilled
forever blinding inspiration
breaking our trust
hurting each other
experiencing lust
disappointing mother
no matter color
we share skin
we are heaven
in our humanity
hell is brethren
of unruly insanity
rise above tricks
truly see love
ignore the pricks
hiding inside a glove
no matter color

Oh Dave if I was going to relate this to music, I would say this write is like “What’s Going On” meshed with “Taking it To The Streets”.

Powerful poetry, Dave...as a Nihilist I see no absolute moral values in the world...I am a relativist and perspectivist...whenever I come across an absolutist I move to a corner of the room...so I agree with Leonard Cohen, love is the only engine of survival...keep surviving my friend...and keep the love going.
