Image for the poem Rancorous Moon

Rancorous Moon

The rain roars louder than my thoughts
The forests stir, the water rows abandoned
I'm safe under your structure
With your strange sounds
And your strange sun
I'm fragile like the truth to a lie
I struggle to draw breath
And I shout your name
Rancorous Moon
These people follow me wherever I go
Where are you now?
Rancorous Moon
Do you hear me?
If you don’t nestle on my feet
Maybe I could float
The out-of-focus rain makes patterns on the window
Lost drops

 I am one
