...and thank you for the RL too. "Sumbitch" -- new to me -- just been looking it up too. Yep, politicians get away with failures that engineers never would. Now we need a single word for "scary and perverse American politics in the run-up to an election"; how about "wehavetotellanevenbiggerlieinordertogetawaywithitthistime" ?

Hi, thank you for commenting. I haven't had a T.V in the house myself for over 25 years but I remember it from olden times, and the 'roadrunner' cartoons were one of my faves    :))

I think you are on the verge of implementing a new form : the "Go-gogyoshi"

Thank you -- I've just checked out my old comp to remind myself --go-go-gogyoshis, now there's an idea.
The thing about gogyoshis is the lack of restriction (5 lines long, that's it, no other requirements) which puts the onus on the writer to actually say something worth reading in a layout that's agreeable. So I guess the lack of form is a sneaky way of putting pressure on the writer to come up with something alluring to make the freedom given him/her seen to have been used well.

I doubt the logic in this but wow, I love this one

I reckon too that the logic is about as dubious as destroying whole economies and the remnants of democracy,  based on media hype of a nasty flu virus, -- which maybe goes to show our world is somewhat cartoonish itself.

Thank you Daniel. I guess poets are always striving to 'see' the overlooked as source-material for the next poem ... and occasionally one gets lucky  :))

Cartoons also sometimes break the fourth wall before they plunge.
