Ophthalmology

It's the longest wait of my life
Viewing myself in third person;
A long art house film
Seen from the interior.
My eyes are pointed inwards and
My ears are hard of hearing
The sounds of the water's surface
At the top of my vision are so distant
And I am in a terrarium
A little mushroom, feeding off the carcass of the gecko that died in here
My mind is a spore set
Swirling through the room
I am multiplied by a factor of sixteen.
The CCTV tapes are being erased
Ready for use during the next business day.
I view the storefront, window shopping,
I like the little miniaturized trinkets near the counter
When does the rain come and go?
The gleaming surfaces aren't that shiny........Maybe they need to buy new ones.
