I think priests and nuns have more sex than most secular people

This poem has been gnawing at the corners of my mind all day.  I just had to comment: spontaneous expression (free writing) with no censorship, no editing, no second thought, always appealed to me. I've tried it a couple of times, but I always go back and polish it up, thus defeating the purpose of letting my stream of consciousness flow.  

I get the thought and I write it fast with a stream of conciousness flow.  That's where my best content is.  Perfection is overrated, raw truths are what people want to read where they are expressing emotion ....

I think as we get older we exercise more control of ourselves, almost foreseeing consequences for words and actions. I used to walk around with a poker face most of the time (I think they call it resting-bitch face nowadays) because I didn't want to show emotion or reaction, so I used to get called conceited (but I was more shy if anything).
Your piece does speak a universal truth of our aging process, acting and reacting with a little more diligence even though at times we really want to speak our mind and let them have it.
