that silence has a thickness
to it that can smother.
It's wanted and then it becomes
heavy like an American tongue
that can't roll the Rrrr's.
No trills. No frills.

Silence is a blessing but it can be deafening if your head isn’t straight. Sometimes during Zen I get insecure for a sound to assure me of reality, yet, I love the quiet! So I quess it can cut both ways.

Thickness in silence ... how original ... love the weight of that ... crisp ... poignant ... love the last stanza ... the image shakes up the mind ... in preparation for the poem ... excellent all around ...
