oh baby
tell me how to be a better person
I just want peace
but snakes constantly surround me
and I know that my pain is hurting you
just like yours keeps hurting me
wish we could lay up on the beach
a happy home no one knows
just the two of us
never any fights, never no fuss
still I have to wake up to expectations
from people I couldn't even careless for
guess truth be told
I don't mean to let anyone down
it's in my nature to thrive
but when I give more than I get
makes me wonder how I got entwined
never was a perfect man
think it's about time I try to be your perfect man
kiss you and hug you till the end of time
if only I could block out the rest of the world
cut it out like a cancer
ok baby, I admit
i'm a broken mess
guess the years have gotten to me
thought if I kept working hard
that somehow others would see that
but they don't, and never will
not like you do
they aren't proud like your eyes show
so can anyone blame me
for wanting to watch it all burn
then maybe it can be just us

Oh ... I love the brave vulnerability of this ... captures the challenge of life ... making a living ... while still having a life ... excellent write DC ...

Very heartfelt spill... Love the candor with which you have expressed your emotions...
Often we get so bogged down by the work pressure n politics, societal prejudice etc that it takes a toll on us emotionally n psychologically disturbing our peace of mind... and that really has an adverse effect on our personal lives Coz being an emotional wreck we project our irritability and sadness onto our loved ones....

Life comes with so many levels of consciousness awakening yet it is those individuals who stand by you that truly makes the difference between living and drowning in the deepness of the muddy waters of the world it's just a beautiful thing to have that connectivity with someone who just gets you better than anyone for at the end of the day it's just us a beautiful blessing 🙏🤛
