I'm Not Foolhardy Anymore

It started as a joke
But I lived up to it in time
Doing or saying any thing
That came into my mind
Leaving a subtle path of destruction
The color of red wine
Shrugging at embarrassment
I'm still young, everything's fine!
No one took me seriously
So I said, why should I?
But then
You offered up your hand
And told me I could be much more
Showing me respect and care
Like no one ever had before
I found myself on a fresh-laid path
With many open doors
Your love gave me the strength to change.
No, I'm not Foolhardy anymore!
