Image for the poem Shedding The Blues

Shedding The Blues

Freshen up with the dark
wearing my pale well
let death not geld you
be an alto from Hell
shedding the blues
what I'm doing on the square
with veins of a boll weevil
sucking cotton of life
with a phallus for love's gin
touching softness of skin
creeping through the night
wearing my pale well
shedding the blues
