Windfalls

I don't think I've ever heard the term 'bruised windfalls' before, Slip. But, I take from the adjective that it's been injured someone, but not seriously.  In that terminology, I would have to disagree with your assessment. I have been amazed at the progress of your writing, as noted by the competitions you have been winning.

Your old soul is merely catching up to what your true talent is. Sometimes it takes a lifetime. And I am certainly grateful I got to be a part of this one's evolution.
