Senses Tingling

glory! glory! what a day
now the rain has gone away
thoughts and feelings flow on by
everywhere the reason why

queen-annes-lace, wild roses too
all around come into view
morning glory's pearly gates
with hollyhock which stands and waits

and too flowers we don't see,
honeysuckle drippingly
spreading perfume though unseen,
the caress of flowers now that seem

to fill each moment we're transfixed
as spells are cast to be mixed
with rays of sunlight streaming down,
our senses tingling as we drown

in the life here that abounds
fragrances and gentle sounds
of summer breezes in a song
to all of us that we belong
