Mighty Fall

I crawled my way to the top
seen all I could see as I went up
thought it would reveal some wondrous glory
what I got was others trying to knock me off
like there's only room for one
phonies smiling to my face
pretending we're in this together
as they wielded knives behind their backs
became wiser the older I got
know well now who to trust
except I don't really want to play anymore
I don't need no crown on top of my head
or great trophy of accomplishment
the view is mighty fine from these hights
wondering why I feel the need to jump

something is wrong with my soul
think it got broke along the way
the start of this journey felt fulfilling
had to give up relationships
told my family I'll take care of them
but I got nothing
not even a try left in my whole body
I just want to run back down
accept that the end result wasn't worth the pain
everything is hurting
bones are cracked and broken
this climb left me secluded
blocked out what is even true value
I faught so hard to gain such a cold view
now I question is it worth holding on to?
