Do I Tremble From The Cold, Or From The Turbulence Of Your Midnight Kiss?

1.
Beautiful sunlit maiden,
you revitalize my universe
with an unadulterated joy
that pours playfully out
like a bucket of heartfelt kisses.

Even when my only companion
is the steady rhythm of heavy rain,
still you grace my billowing heart
with your startling effervescence.

How I revel in the way you truly listen,
drinking in your calming sustenance
even when our lips are far apart,
quivering as they do with earthly premonitions
that swirl madly with the ravenous hunger
of ripest anticipation.

Oh,
for so long I have searched
for your intoxicating center.

And now,
here you are.

2.
As sleep blooms
I am made whole again,
and the night is tranquil,
and the night is still.
