senses gripped by sounds and sights
on the shore through days and nights
as ocean's heavings' endings crash
rhythmically in splash on splash

rushing in to slip away
alive the ocean is at play
sunshine, moonlight dance within
where molecules of water swim

just like you and just like me
every day we seem to be
ordinary, living lives
until we crash, what survives

is something to remember in
somewhere inside deep within
shining always day and night
we are beings made of light

on the shore of a vast sea
effervescent you and me
always moving, we can't stay
rushing in to slip away
