If I could

If I could

If I could I'd be there to wipe away your tears, hold you softly in my arms, shield you from your fears

Rest your head upon my chest gently stroke your hair, smile when you look up at me, to show how much I care

Wrap strong arms around you, held in a safe embrace, watch you while you sleep, contentment in your face

Cacooned in a world of caring, they'd be no room for rain, only love and kindness, to sooth your every pain

Listen to my heartbeat as your ear is near my heart, listen to the light it sends, though we're far apart

I can't hold you in my arms, but I'm here at anytime, I try to show I care for you, I do so in a rhyme

So when you pillows stained with tears, whilst you are on your bed, remember I think your awesome and I'm sitting on your head

Waiting for you to pic up your phone, to read a caring rhyme, sent to make you smile again, for use at anytime
