My minds eye

 My minds eye

Standing there before me, the moonlight in your face, elegant and radiant, wearing pretty lace

Your eyes shine like a full moon, so bright they out shine stars in the sky, they are so captivating, a gift no man could buy

Your hair cascades down your neck, like a pitch black waterfall, I reach out my hand to you, I feel like such her fool

Such a beauty can't be touched, for a Goddess lives but in a dream, hiding in my minds eye, or is that just how it seems

Are you real? Do you exist? or just a dream that disappears, am I never to meet my minds eye love, will this forever be my greatest fear

Never to touch your soft lips, not a single kiss on you I'll place, never to hold you in my arms, to feel your loves embrace.

Oh why do you live in my minds eye, true love lives within my head, whilst I am destined to be alone, crippled in my bed
