Dawn

I open my sleepy eyes
feeling peaceful like no other
The crack of Dawn
sunlight peeks through the curtain
spreading its arms on my wall
The blue stillness cascades  
like the everlasting ocean
Yet to find life in my streets
It's a quietly peaceful day
Toast, coffee, a shower...
all in good time
Sleeping heads stir
With a kiss goodbye
As I make my way
to my favourite place
My happy place
Helplessly in love
with my Dawn
