Highlander Brawl

The cry brough Carson from his deep slumber. Rubbing his eyes, he heard the clashing of swords. Fear and dread flushed through him. It was not dream. Mckenna had cried his name. Quickly he pulled on his boots and left his tent to find Dornoch guards fighting Brody and Ivan. McKenna! He thought as he raced towards her tent but stopped in his tracks when he saw Blane exit her tent covered in blood.
“Ye Bastard.” Carson growled drawing his Broadsword.
“Ye should nay have taken the lass.” Blane cursed.
Blane lunged at Carson and the two men’s swords clashed and clanged against each other. Carson could see that Blane had a cut upon his face that Kenna must have given him with her dirk.
“Ye should nay let a lass over power ye Laird Blane.”
      “Fuck ye Macbeth.”
Swords continued to clash as Carson tried to get rid of the Dornoch Laird. If he has hurt Kenna, he would kill him where he stood.  Carson lunged towards Blane and cut the side of his face with the sword. Blane cried out and thrashed as he caught Carson’s next blow before it met his arm.
      “Ye are quick.” Carson teased.
Blane swung nearly splitting Carson in half but the Glasgowian warrior moved out of the way. Carson struck Blane once more in the arms this time. Blane cursed and lunged hard towards his enemy.
“Why did ye come for her? Ye do not care for her. Carson growled.
“She is me kin and she will be marrying Hamish Gilleasbuig. Ye did not have the right to kidnap her.”
“If the lass refuses once more? Are ye gonna beat her again? Brand her like ye did before?”
Blane grumbled a curse under his breath before their swords clashed again. Clash! Slash! Clish! That is when Blane nicked Carson’s leg causing him to fall. Pulling himself up as fast he could Carson cursed seeing Blane and the other two guardsmen fleeing on their horses.
