Tori

The loss of your life
For me was no suprise
Though it hurt no less
You were my best friend

You were failed from the begining
Given no fair chance in life
The hand you were delt
Was one nobody should ever have to fight

Your mother always against you
Your fathers sexual abuse
You were constantly criticized
Nobody believed in you

Just twenty four years old
Trying to make it on your own
Alone, lost and confused
No guidance, nobody to lead you

Though you always tried
You just couldn't find the right path in life

The pain and confusion
Frustration and anger
Led you to the life of a user

Cars totaled
Criminal record
Permantley labeled

You lost all you had
Locked up, then sent to rehab

When you were released you vowed to stay focused and clean
But you struggled
And failed to reach out for help or go to weekly meetings

It became too much
The temptation on the streets
You had a craving
And you chose to feed

That last high
Cost you your life
You overdosed
And it was too late for Naarcan to save you this time

Even in death you were alone
Everyone failed you
From the begining, until the day you were gone

And I'm so sorry.

Until we meet again
Rest in peace
