desiccated dirt
attracting moisture like iron filings to a magnet
thunderheads forming on the horizon
piling like mountains of cotton
winds escalating shifting dust devils twirling
like dervishes driven across cactus studded landscape
permeating scent of ozone and creosote
atmosphere crackling sizzling
lightening marching down from the mountains
storm clouds ripe with rain approach
darkening blue skies
monsoon soon
