today
i went to the dentist
because they said
they could fix my smile
i went inside
and sat on the chair
they put things in my mouth
while i lay there and ached
it was a lovely purple room
and she wore lovely purple gloves
just before sunset
i went home
but it seems
even the dentist could not find
my smile
