Lessons in life

They say you donít know real love until youíve crossed it
But you donít know the cost until it costs you
Sacrifice your life and all the in between for a chance at a future that youíre lost in

Arguing facts like they were fiction
I donít want a new life, I want you to listen
This shit is hard and youíre so far
But all I do is pray for the times itís okay and for the fixing

So tell me about the sad times
I know you werenít hooked on drugs, you were hooked on pain
Waiting for the day that there was enough to take it all away
Even though the ones you loved were telling you to stay
You couldnít see another way, this was the way
