I'll take life far away from you,
let it swing like an empty noose
in a taunting cedar.

i like the simplicity...but i believe the meaning is lost upon me. but i like it nonetheless
I also like this but I donīt get it either. I think you are just going to have state the obvious for the less brilliant

"This photo is frayed" referring to the poem being some sort of snapshot.
It's told from a floating perspective, something like death or some god. (For a less spiritual example; a whimsical murder artist.)
The first stanza they are showing off death.
It's being shown to everyone.
"Watching those who pray; do
and others all sorts of mild actions
in discomfort."
It's slightly ironic.
Whether the coping be praying or anything else it's supposed to feel wrong.
If that's taken into consideration then maybe the picture given is frayed.
