[ BLM ] Covid-Juneteenth
It's just a mask
They want sooooo badly
for it to be perceived otherwise
—an impediment to livelihood
—a silencing of freedom
Priorties matter ...
... perspective matters ...
... Black Lives Matter
and this symbol of supposed oppression?
still allows a human being to breathe
#BlackLivesMatter
Please protest sensibly and responsibly

Powerful...
Yet the cautionary words at the least are necessary...
Great ink

I will folly you
Folly wherever you may go
There isn't an ocean too deep
A mountain so high it can keep me away
Unless it's a Trump rally in Tulsa, then nevermind.

I was just watching a video of a woman in a city council meeting saying this was "slavery" or some BS like that, that she doesn't believe it's real and blah blah blah. I'm not one to wish ill on folks, but sometimes nature just needs to do a number on them so that they understand how truly bad it is (and I don't mean die but just to feel like her lungs would say "fuck it, I'm out" but that she survive the ordeal and live to tell). But if she already drank from the kool-aid...
But I digressed. I'm glad you put it to simple terms with a clearview.
Well penned sir.

Thank you, Wally. I know exactly what you mean --- a wake-up call from the Universe.

Dear JB,
Juneteenth. Since 1865. This is the first I have any cognizance of it! Shameful right? I don’t recall this ever being discussed in school. I feel like a dunce and really glad to have read your piece which prompted me to look it up. Thank you. H🌷

Thank you, Honoria - but you aren't alone. It was never taught in schools. And it's the first I've heard of it as well.
