Image for the poem eternities breathe

eternities breathe

my sorrow laments within the torrid nature of my divinity
I beseech the heavens to behold the dawn inside me
and call back the tempest that has enthralled my soul

raven's bane...devil's bite
slip into the craters created of want
insipid duality my thoughts rally against me
singing hymns of betrayal

bleed the night of her favor
crimson blush is on the winds
we can smell your fear dear

my God, where are you?

my prayers rise as incense
while nightingales over eternity serenade
a sweet soul is ushered within the sanctuary
my soul's chalice is filled

when the dawning breaks my fever
shadows retreat and the darkness stands aside
the delirium comes to an end

and I hear...

God is in his holy room
