Cut My Own Damn Hair Yesterday
Enough of this mountain man look
Bought a hair buzzer online
Starred at it for a few days
Directions were adequate but it's freaky
I've never cut my own hair before
What if I fuck it up I thought
Eventually I plugged in and went to town
Came out good

I've stood in front of the mirror a few times with scissors inch away, and still can't bring myself to take that first cut. My hair is long enough to have it fixed if I fuck it up, but I'm a pussy about it.

The buzzer is fun once you get going.
I watched my barber do it for years.
Had some help with the back with a real scissor
Might be different wit long hair unless you want to go post punk !!

I get my hair cut about twice a year, whether it needs it or not.... 😉 It's due now, though. Getting warm out, might have to resort to the summer braids soon.

It wasn't easy to get up the courage but I woke up yesterday and said fuck it and went for it, it was kinda fun seeing it starting to return to what I know ....

I began giggling from “What?” all the way down - for some reason I can hear it all...
when my hair was super short I would cut it myself, couldn’t really fuck it up and at the end of the day, it’s just hair; It doesn’t define you so who gives a shit, right? But since deciding to let it grow out in 2014 I’ve had it “cut” three times - seriously - and only because I’m frugal...now it’s so long, I only ever wear it pulled up in a messy bun 😂

My barber is a good guy and I feel bad for him so I eventually I might go back
