Show Me

I want to know what love is
The sensations of a beautiful inner flame
Baby you feel it too
Footprints walking in the path of the unknown
Drawing on the last ounce of faith each day
Praying for deliverance of unity within the core of blind souls
Reaching out to the warmth, bridge the gap of imminent promises

I want you to show me what love is
Yearning for your touch, your voice, your persona, your mentality
To experience tears, the music of our laugher, echoing, journeying, soaring
Umbrella our existence when the skies are pouring
Emotionally suffocate me with your love
Mentally challenging me to be, spiritually cleansing of my Chi
A leg to stand, a body to lean upon when I’m physically incapable of continuing on

I want to feel what love is
Hold my hand when the sun rise
As we hear the bird’s tweets, signifying the calling of a new day
Kiss me as we feel the morning dew at our feet
Reach out when fog has descended
Be my beckon of light when I am so lost, and you are still finding, your way
Feel my essence unseen, my struggles, my heartaches
Harken unto my cries, my whispers unheard
I know you can show me my love

When our eyes are closed
Heads bowed in spiritual enlightenment
Hearts beating as one
Destiny dropping us to our knees
Surrendering the fate of our pleads
Anointing our forehead as bodies takes its communion
Karma christening our souls we become as one

I want to know what love is
I want you to show me
I want to feel what love it
I know you can show me

Take my body to the journey, the skies
Where earth and destiny has no whys
Show me what love is from above
Show me what love is and what love is

I wanna know what love is
Please show me my love
