The City
Won't leave
My home
Color
Grandeur
A little wounded
Came for a reason
Many years ago
Escaped what didn't feed me
Here art is revered

“I am sore wounded, but I am not slain, I’ll lay me down to bleed a while, then I’ll rise to fight again.” ~ John Dryden
Art is truly appreciated there, Poet. You can tell.

I often dream of moving to a place where art is revered. in my little town, it's seen as a nice little hobby. not as a need. not as something in our DNA. it's not important.
but the noise! and i'd miss my hills and front porch. so i stay put.

I think I could really love city life.... but then I also thrive in nature, so.... there's always an edge that sticks out no matter where I try to fit.
This visual makes city look pretty appealing. 😊

I’ve always lived in cities with the exception of my pre-college years. Even then I was going to the city to see music and theater. So it’s my DNA. I enjoy more rural life too. My nephew just moved off the grid. When the evil juju virus calms down, need to go spend some time there ...

Dear P,
I like how the art matches the print. You can see and feel both sides of living in the city. The jagged and pointy harshness covered by the alluring colors and wonder. Great write! H🌷

Thanks H
It's a strange time here, stuck in a weird purgatory
The art remains however ....
