Am I what you say?  
Cold and heartless    
A user, liar and cheat    
Living a cycle on repeat    
   
Do I  say nothing    
and stare into space    
While you apparently confess    
love, kindness and grace    
   
Is my heart frozen solid    
Incapable of letting you in    
A disgraceful game player    
With the objective to win    
   
Do I place friends and family    
above your head    
Is all my energy given to others    
Should you receive it all instead    
   
Do I hide my emotions    
Purposely triggering your pain    
Only inviting you over    
If I have something to gain    
   
Am I  cruel    
Is my heart black as coal    
Is my true self locked away    
Your truth, I'm often told    
   
Who am i    
You have no idea    
Too busy assuming,    
dictated by fear    
   
I am not perfect    
I swayed from our plan,    
But, I am NOT the person    
YOU repeatedly tell I AM! .
