Pretty Flowers

Went to the park
I don’t stay long these days
Too many people not wearing face masks
Stayed long enough to visit Ginger’s grave
She passed 3 years ago, her ashes here
A quick flyby to tell her I love her
The spot we picked was behind a bench
I go there year round and sit and visit
With Spring a lovely bunch of new plantings
Snapped this photo and left quickly
Sometimes I stay and watch the river
Barges and tug boats are always a thrill
Slow and steady
I like that

Author's Note
My dog loved to sniff flowers, anything fragrant
These didn’t have much scent but were pretty like her
