I Love You With All My Brain

I’m gonna try something new today
I’m gonna start loving with my brain
I’ve already loved a million times with my heart
And all I’ve felt is pain.
I’m a pretty smart woman
I should’ve tried this long ago
But your whole life all you hear is  
“Brains think, hearts love, and that’s all you need to know.”
Well my heart can’t take another beating
(No pun intended there)
I wanna save what’s left of it
For someone that will handle it with care.
If I’d had used my brain in the beginning
I could have protected my heart
That bleeding fist that pulsates life
Should be saved until the end, cuz it’s the best part.
My brain can do some damage
(I know, that was a slippery slope)
My brain can distinguish determine delight
It can read between lines and dope.
But I’m not about MK Ultra
Unless that’s a new kind of beer
But I digress it’s my brain not my best
I’m not done sayin what needs to be said here.
If you can handle my brain
If you can keep it occupied
If instead of brain freezes you can give me brain melts
Then you can break on through to the other side.
And if you still wanna get to know me
Because you’ve truly wracked my brain
My heart will be waiting, as destroyed as it is
And I’ll let you feel my pain.
Just remember you asked for this crazy train....
