BEHIND THE SMILE

Behind the smile are the globes
red as blood
Are the rivers: Niger and Benue
causing a flood
Is the ticker, beating fast as
humming bird
And a heart full to the brim
without a word
Before the honeymoon was a
hope for best
And now quest to cope with
what's messed
For one changed, not with mouth
now or then
E'en a promise, a pretence but
wait till then
Behind the smile, is a cry of a
thunder clap
Heared by none, and though can't
take a nap
Is the pain cold as ice, and a
mouth with a zip
And in mem'ry lane wondering
why take a sip?
Let not passion leads you to your
early grave,
And love of currency makes you
eternal slave.
