Block Party

Social media creates
its own invitations

So I went

I laughed

I cried

thinking about my dad’s last moments
His last words

They surely weren’t
I can’t breathe

Not to the 100 that came to get him
20 of them got hurt just trying to get at him

A knee on his neck long before that day

So I kneel
Trying to find the answer
And they kneeled with me too
