Family Tree Has Fallen

Since the day you passed away,
the family tree has fallen.
I try to keep myself together,
for the family I must be strong.

He left impressions on so many,
by the selfless acts he made.
Always there to lend a hand,
or make somebodys day.

He had the biggest heart,
and a laugh to make you smile.
He was always there to be of help,
he always went the extra mile.

When I look up into the clouds,
or cheers your name up high.
I always hope your spirits free,
So all I ask is just a sign....

There is never a good-bye,
my spirit will live on.
I know your heart is broken,
but our memories will live on.

So close your eyes,
put your palm up to your chest.
Focus on your heart beat,
enjoy each moment at its best.

We share a bond,
inside us, til the end.
So I'll see you soon,
then we'll never be apart again.

Author's Note
A friend asked for me to write him a memorial to his uncle who died... so this is what I wrote for him then created a background with his uncle so he can hang on his wall.
