Lament For Leah Marie

There is a place in the soul/ mind
(of me) where my daughter stays.
She's gone now.
Two years ago on July 4th.
She used to love to go to
the fireworks shows
No more fireworks for Leah Marie.
Just another wave of Daddy's tears,
every time I invoke her name.
Tears instead of fireworks on the 4th.
Tears every bloody day. Every
blessed day, ('til daddy finds death himself).
Damn'it........we miss her so!
