Recovery of the Future
I'm negative, ya dont have to say it
I know what you're thinking
Chicken little, anxious mess
I'm that but so much more
Underneath all these layers
I'm undyingly hopeful
That the world will right itself
That we will get a star trek future
Where our backgrounds
Our skin tones, our cultures
Won't divide us but bring us together
I hope the generations after me
Be cynical as fuck but with a hopeful core
Punch some nazi's, fight some racist
Fight the tit for tat in the lgbt community
That right or left doesnt completely define you
I pray for unity, let us die to achieve it
No one is better or lesser than me
Let them kill the past with their bare hands
Maybe the world will be born anew

I can hear the Seattle Protests and wish I wasnt so scared of crowds and police. I'm a helping center, offering free parking and a place to get the items needed to handle the injuries. I wish I could do more.

Nice poem. The strange thing is that they are still fighting in star trek. Mankind will never learn to love.

Well...you are right to be scared of the police because they are out of control at the moment. That's all over the world actually. Let them kill the past with their hands...well again, that was done today in Bristol, England, where protesters debased a statue of a 17th-century slave trader called Edward Colston & threw him into the river Avon! Lol. No one stopped them & it was a multi-cultural dethroning. No one should be charged over the vandalism cos it was a spontaneous moment & right for these times.
