Dreams Of A Unicorn

Silvery Mane, and a silvery horn
Opalesque eyes, of pirouetting pity
A white opalescent shimmer of light
As glancing shadows
Reveals the Unicorns true nature

Jewelled depths
And golden ambitions
Matted hopes
Give way, to natures quizzical hue
Sunken treasures of despair

Golden dreams
And rusty realities
The Unicorn ponders, yet perseveres
Mankind can be ugly...greedy
Poignant, yet perverse

The Unicorn again ponders
And relives a dream
Wherein dwell faery folk
Full of colour and romance
And hope and desire
She awakens.......
