Beautiful Agony
Sometimes agony can be beautiful.
The agony of longing perched on the edge of fulfillment
The agony of knowing you’re giving something away of value
The agony of knowing you can’t get it back
The agony of knowing this might all be illusion
The agony of knowing our memories of this passion will fade
The agony of knowing loneliness might fill our voids afterward
The agony of knowing this fuck might change our futures
The agony of knowing this fuck might change nothing
What if our loving, our lusts, and tonight’s tangling of flesh is all for naught?
What if all of this moist life, this blending of fluids, these thrills of our flesh are reduced to dust?
So much for philosophy!
Let us continue our roles and play out our parts, sharing this beautiful agony!

Yes. I thought the same and how pleasure is a close kin to pain sometimes, or how pleasure can mix with emotional pain and still be ecstatic.
